Harley decides to play the mind game though. She sees Fione putting on makeup like her. Fione pays homage to the hero who inspires her. She considers Harley a sister. Fione especially has powerful magic. She was just too afraid to use it. However, her evolution ends in a vicious circle. She no longer has to worry about a condescending and oppressive mother. In addition, she has to save the Kingdom. As a result, she frees herself from her insecurities.
The timing couldn't be more perfect as Harley comes up with a new plan. When Harley flies away on her dragon and is caught and strangled by the Undead King, her wig falls off. Actually, it's Fione who gets fooled! The princess then summons her mystical sword from King Shark's belly and calls it into her hand, which sees her slice off the villain's head. Harley then smashes the skull as it falls to the ground. It's an epic team effort, allowing Harley to use her signature bat, imbued with magical powers, to claim victory. Fione is now sitting in her mother's chair. She wants to usher in an era of peace, bringing all classes together. She wandered with the poor back then, so she knows what it's like to see the elites lord it over them. This has to change. As the monarchy rebuilds, the new queen rewards Task Force X. It's a bit like Princess Leia rewarding Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca at the end of Star Wars: A New Hope.
The team then heads out to eat. Now that the bad guy is dead (or at least it looks like he is, since his head exploded in the distance), they can visit the portal they came through. This allows Waller to send the signal to make sure their collars don't explode and blow their brains out. With this false sense of security, they can party, eat, drink, and fulfill their prime directive.
They can now form beachheads for Waller to get resources. Rick Flag calls Waller to tell her that the alliance she wants is on the line. The coalition gives her a stronghold in two worlds. But there's a major bombshell: this isn't the primary purpose of sending teams as the show initially suggested. It creates a climate of distrust toward Flag in a massive way.

In this finale, Flag admits that he doesn't know how Katana can be in this kingdom.. That's because the real one is seen next to Waller. Remember, Katana arrested Harley in the first place, so Waller could get soldiers as pawns. Fans wondered if Katana was part of a former Suicide Squad team that passed through. Turns out, that's not the case.
Waller and Flag admit that this is all the work of a mysterious man. This entity turns out to be the Joker. He has two sticks with him when he returns to the Empire base. He has been changing forms throughout the season, posing as different people, like Ratcatcher and the Thinker. It's fun and playful. He wants to give Harley more life, saying that this is all for her. It's still unclear why he's giving her deadly challenges that could have killed her.
But it does explain why the fake "Katana" helped Peacemaker and King Shark. And why those villains didn't have bombs attached to their skulls. The timeline still needs to be fleshed out to show when Joker made this incursion and how he got his sticks. As well as why the Undead King made the alliance with him. What is certain is that this is a remix of Superman #160 where the Clown Prince of Crime tricked Mister Mxyzptlk into giving him 99.99% of his reality-bending powers. The Joker became nearly omnipotent and created a hellish world in his own image.
